General continuity goals…
- On-going physical presence in Albania is important, continue
as a volunteer organization
- Continue to make known the medical and spiritual needs of Albania
- Continue to share God’s love
Specific goals include…
- Continue to provide medical supplies and equipment
- Enhance, update, and continuously improve the medical library
AHF has established to sustain it’s viability as a valuable
resource for both medical students and faculty
- Continue to refurbish the medical center hospital surgical
and cardiac suites and further enhance the endoscopic suite AHF
has helped to establish by adding a fluoroscopy unit and endoscopic
retrograde cholangiography unit
.
- Assist in refurbishing the “Mother Theresa” University
Hospital Medical Center in Tirana
- Continue In-Country Teaching Teams
- Plan and execute three medical mission trips per year, each
of 1-3 weeks duration
- Mentor/teach Albanian doctors the key elements involved in
organizing and holding successful medical conferences working
to the end that there would ultimately be Albanian ownership
of the annual medical conference that AHF has sponsored and led
for the past decade
- Encourage the continuation of tutorials on given medical specialties
for the Albanian medical community based mutually agreed to need,
ensure collaboration is disciplined and enhances skills/ knowledge/”know-how” transfer,
and organize and execute medical study trips to the USA for selected
Albanian doctors
